Diet Update (May 2012)

You know what I think? I think I have absolutely no idea how to diet. I blame my mum. Completely! “Finish everything on your plate or I’ll kill you!”
…. Well, perhaps something near to that. Really I do understand it’s my fault but I just want to let you all to know that I merely blame her
So basically. I’m working again, I’m still in a lot of pain but I am up and around and simply not sitting on my arse and playing video games. I’m on my feet for 10 hours of the day ish. I started in February at ComputerOrBit in Gateshead, computer technician. I love it. Something I love doing and it’s only a 10-15 minute walk from work. Sure it’s up hill but I don’t mind so much. So basically I walk to work and walk home (Downhill which is always a win)
They say you’re supposed to get 20 minutes of exercise a day. I guess I’m getting way more than that. I feel I should get a pedometer and see how much I’m doing.
Well when I did start off taking packed lunch into work when I first started, then it changed to getting a pot noodle or something from the shop but as the Summer draws near. I eat less. So I am shedding weight like nobodies business.
In February I was 18st 2lbs I can’t say I’m happy with that. I’m certainly not proud of it. I will say it’s the fattest I’ve ever been. Not being able to fit into any of your clothes is not a pleasant experience. When I joined ComputerOrBit I was given a hoodie by one guy who was leaving. He’d got it in the previous cycle of uniforms being handed out but had never warn it. It was a large and I squeezed myself into it. Now I’m pleased to say that it’s baggy on me and this… makes me happy.
I’ve shed a total of 2st 6lbs its quite epic to be 15.8 It’s nice to have an entire wardrobe of clothes that fit me. A lot of baggy t-shirts. They’re going to be chucked but jeans and combats that fit me. That’s great. Shorts for the summer. Swimming shorts for swimming (oh yeah, I should mention. I’ve been swimming too recently. Not as much as I’d like but it’s happening)
So yeah, I’m quite pleased with myself. So I will keep up the good work and so long as this pain is controlled I think I have a good grip on my life at the moment. Quite a bit of debt but I’m working it out.
